Some people may get really nervous when it comes to speaking in public. Giving a speech in front of a lot of people can be difficult for people who haven’t done this before. This is a common problem and you are not the only one. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar lists some tips for public speaking.

First of all, keep in mind that it is okay to be nervous about the thing you are doing for the first time. You are not an expert and not many people are. Just take a long breath and relax. You are not going to make a fool of yourself and you will give a good speech.

Practice makes a man perfect. Before giving the final speech, try speaking in front of your friends and family. This will help you in building confidence. Tell the people to give feedback to your speech so that you can understand the nature of your speech in a better way.

If you want to give a good speech with a good amount of confidence, you should be sure about what you are speaking. We are more confident when we know that what we are speaking is correct. So, do good research before writing your speech so that you can answer any upcoming question from the audience and deliver a flawless speech as well.

It would be convenient and interesting if you write the speech according to the type of audience. For example, if you are delivering a speech to your workmates, you should use their level of information and stuff that will entertain them. Try to keep them interested in your speech.

You should always start with a catchy beginning and a concluding end. This is what the structure of a good speech looks like. Do not give open-ended speeches if it is a one-time thing. Try to make your point.

Use audio-visual aids in an appropriate way to enhance the delivery of your speech. Photos and videos will catch their attention and keep them occupied as well.
